Michigan's 2008 Elections

August Primary Election on Tuesday, August 5, 2008
November General Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2008

Vote at your regular precinct as set up by the city. Inquiries should be directed to the city clerk's office at 248.524.3318.
Polls are open from 7am to 8pm.

Who are we voting for in the August Primary?

The Tuesday, August 5, 2008 Michigan Primary Election must be voted on a straight-party ticket. Voters will be selecting their party's candidate for the November General Election ballot. In the August Primary you may vote in one party's primary. If you attempt to vote in more than one party's primary, your ballot will be invalidated. In a Primary Election, voters cannot "split their ticket". In any case, be sure to also vote the non-partisan and proposal (if there are any) sections of the ballot.

This will include:
US Representative
State House Representative
County Officials: Executive, Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, Clerk, Treasurer, and Drain Commissioner
County Commissioners
University Board members

Also on the ballot will be a nonpartisan portion which will allow the voter to select Judges in:
Michigan Supreme Court
Michigan Court of Appeals
Oakland Circuit Coart
Oakland Probate Court
52-4 District Court
