Michigan's 2008 Elections

November General Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2008


Vote at your regular precinct as set up by the city. Inquiries should be directed to the city clerk's office at 248.524.3318.
Polls are open from 7am to 8pm.


Please note: In this election, you may vote for a political party, split your ticket, or vote for your party and then vote for any exceptions from your party.

Who and what are we voting for in the General Election?

The Tuesday, November 4, 2008 General Election candidates can be selected in three different ways: You may vote for a political party, split your ticket, or vote for your party and then vote for any exceptions from the party.
In any case, be sure to also vote the non-partisan and proposal sections of the ballot.


The partisan portion of the ballot will include:
President/Vice-President
US Senator
US Representative
State House Representative
County Officials: Executive, Prosecuting Attorney, Sheriff, Clerk, Treasurer, and Drain Commissioner
County Commissioners
University Board members

Also on the ballot will be a nonpartisan portion which will allow the voter to select Judges in:
Michigan Supreme Court
Michigan Court of Appeals
Oakland Circuit Court
Oakland Probate Court
52-4 District Court

There will also be state and local ballot proposals.
