Public Art in Troy and Pathways through Troy. First in a three part lecture series, this will feature Ron Hynd, Landscape Analyst, Troy Parks and Recreation showcasing public art currently owned by the city and discuss it's location and condition. This is of special interest to League for its city study. Part two of the session will include Pathways through Troy where Jeffrey Biegler, Superintendent, Parks and Recreation, will present the Troy Civic Center Priority Task Force Report on a pathway system featuring art pieces. Civic Art as the Wise Sage of Big Beaver Road. Third and last in the brown bag lecture series, Mark F. Miller, AICP/PCP, City of Troy Planning Director, will update projects such as The Pavilions of Troy. He will tie together urbanism, art, and Big Beaver Road through civic art gateways, sleek and elegant street furniture, public squares and more.
